The Oodle Club began with Groodle parents Cassie and Paddy – and a very familiar-looking toy box: things Tex and Hughie had destroyed, toys they'd lost interest in, and the odd "tough" toy that only survived because it barely got played with.
The fun toys often didn't last. The tough ones sometimes lasted because they weren't much fun. And with so little clarity around what many dog toys are actually made from, every new purchase felt like another guess.
Eventually, one thing became clear: there isn't one perfect toy, because dogs don't play in just one way. So The Oodle Club was built around the different ways Oodles actually play – chew, lick, fetch, squeak, tug and bond – with thoughtful materials, purposeful construction, and honest guidance on how each toy is meant to be used.
Less random toy buying. More confidence in what you're giving your Oodle.
GEO (Groodle Executive Officer)
Tex was one of the two Oodles who started it all – an energetic, curious Groodle who taught us early that what a dog actually chooses to play with matters just as much as what looks good on a shelf.
He takes his GEO duties seriously. Right up until belly rubs become available.
If a toy survives Tex's inspection – seams, squeakers and all – it's earned its place in the rotation.
COG (Chief Operating Groodle)
Hughie brings his own approach to product testing: play first, questions later.
Part stick connoisseur, part cuddle consultant, Hughie was the other half of the original inspiration behind The Oodle Club – proof that two dogs in the same house can still want completely different things from a toy.
When something in the rotation gets ignored, Hughie's usually the reason we go back and rethink it.

We don't think responsible dog-toy shopping should depend on louder claims. We believe in clearer choices – thoughtful materials, purposeful construction, and honest guidance on how each toy is meant to be used. Australia doesn't have a dedicated mandatory safety standard for dog toys the way it does for children's toys – which is exactly why we'd rather over-explain than under-explain.
